How I can Help!

First of all, I’ve been there! I know what you are going through! I’m a parent and I have suffered from all of these things.

I know what it’s like to be stressed beyond measure.
I know what it’s like to feel like you can barely trudge your way through the day.
I know what it’s like to not feel rested, to be too tired to play with your kids or spend time with friends and family.
I know what it’s like when your body decides it’s not going to work the way it used to.
I have gut and hormonal issues that I manage with food and lifestyle.

I know what it’s like to not know which foods are ACTUALLY healthy for my body.

I’ve even been to the place where I’m just not sure what to cook for my family anymore.

I’ve needed help.

I got help, from a health coach.

And now I manage these symptoms with food and lifestyle. I learned the connection between stress and how it affected my body in a massive way. It took a while to get there to get healthy, I had a lot to learn. I’m still learning.

But I knew if I didn’t change things I wasn’t going to be as good of a mom, friend, family member and business owner as I needed to be.

So I started by meeting with a Health Coach. It was such revelatory experience that I decided to become a Health Coach.

Plus I have a little something extra.

I am a trained chef with over 15 years of culinary experience and 4 years specifically of personal chef experience cooking for families with specific dietary needs and teaching others how to cook!

When you work with me

I am not a replacement for a doctor, but I will work in conjunction with your doctor, to ensure better success on your plan!

Qualifications

Certified Health Coach ( IAHC & INHC) w/ training from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition

Graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School w/ over 15 years of experience, 4 of which were cooking personally for families with specific dietary concerns. 

Chef Experience

  • The Dakota – training under chef Ken Geoff
  • Tasteful Thymes – Natural Foods catering company in Stillwater, MN
  • Lunds & Byerlys – Quality Assurance Manager in the Deli’s. (I know grocery stores).
  • Personal Chef – Twin Cities & Cabo San Lucas Mexico – Cooking for families and catering parties, weddings, baby showers etc.

And another lifetime ago a Graduate of UMD with a major in American Indian Studies and minor in Environmental studies.

Other Cool Stuff

I live in the Twin Cities with my 12-year-old daughter and my 4-year-old French Bulldog Omelette.

I practice yoga and meditation almost daily.

I love creating new recipes and cook often for my friends and family.

I love being outdoors, walking my dog, hiking, kayaking and canoeing, and adventuring. Breathing fresh air and being in nature keeps me centered and grounded.

I love to travel and have been to many places, I’ve eaten and adventured my around Europe, The Baja of Mexico and the United States. My food is diverse which keeps eating healthy, fun!!

I practice Hygge – The Danish art of being cozy and creating community with friends. It’s one of the best ways to stay healthy and fulfilled throughout the cold winter months in Minnesota.
